Angela Lidgard

I am Angela Lidgard and I am excited to be a Learning Assistant at Matua Ngaru School. We moved to Huapai a year ago after living in Hobsonville for 12 years. I have two boys aged 14 and 12 and I have a 10 year old daughter. I have been working as a Teacher Aide for 8 years, working with students from Year 0 to Year 8. I have worked in public schools and private schools, I have also worked at Arohanui School, with students with complex needs. I love working with kids and I enjoy being part of a team, working with the Learning Coaches to support the students. The variety of students that I get to work with is great and no two days are the same. I enjoy challenges and working out strategies and routines that will help students to fully embrace their time at school and the opportunities that are available to them. It’s important to me that all students feel a sense of belonging and that they look forward to coming to school every day. I am sports mad and spend most days driving my kids to their various sports. My two favorite sports are Rugby and Netball. I also enjoy gardening and reading (when time allows it).
