Natalie O’Connor

Natalie was born and raised in West Auckland, then flew the coop to expand her horizons! She has worked in Venezuela, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Vietnam and here in West and Central Auckland. Before leaving New Zealand she was Deputy Principal at Waiheke Primary School, then moved onto being the head of three international schools, ending her overseas sojourn as a National Delivery Manager for the Nobel Education Network where she developed schools in Vietnam, Turkey, Portugal, Austria and Oman. Natalie’s love of inquiry led her to being an International Baccalaureate educator in early childhood, primary and secondary schools. Additionally, Natalie’s love of life-long learning has seen her gain her Masters in Educational Management, a Diploma of Educational Management, certification as an Executive Coach, certification as an academic life coach for students, certification as a Positive Psychology Practitioner, and a SPELD trained educator. Before coming to Matua Ngaru she held two important roles for both the Brainwave Trust as the National Delivery Manager, and as a Lead Facilitator at CORE Education where she focused on working with schools and Kahui Akos on leadership, strategic planning, and coaching.
